Tonight, I was having a conversation with someone at church about my personality type. I was talking to her about my “summer project” of painting my deck, and how these types of projects drive me nuts because I want things done quickly. When I begin a project, I need it to be done THAT day. Naturally, this is not possible with many projects.
She then said something that got me to think: “I hear ‘ya….Like weight loss. I want that to happen immediately”.
Clearly, I know that this is not possible. Why, then, is it that I expect it to occur in every other aspect of my life?
Wanna improve that jerk? Snatch? Overhead squat? Get a pull-up? Muscle-up? Lose that last ten pounds? Stop craving sweets?
It will not happen overnight.
Anything worth anything, must be worked for, right??
So, be persistent. Put in the time. Put in the effort.
You’ll cut through that rock eventually…
Since I forgot the SD card at the gym tonight, I figured I share some of SicFit’s photo’s from last week’s competition at the CT EXPO Center where SCF’s RX team of Rilla, DP, LP, and Meg OT, placed #1 and our scaled team comprised of Lauren Vogel, Chris Bruno, Kori and Steve Stewart rocked it!!!
