Let’s see what goals were accomplished in the first days of 2014 at Shoreline CrossFit:
We’re Becoming More Efficient In The Olympic Lifts
Janice Rodriguez set PR’s on her strict press (100) and power snatch. Matt Stebbins set PR’s on his front squat (235), squat clean (215), snatch (150), and clean & jerk (205). Bradley Roth PR’d on his power clean at 300lbs, while LP set a PR on her 5RM power clean (180) and Joey Herten hang cleaned 225 for 3. Both Ian Douglas and Jim Yakimoff PR’d on their deadlifts at 445lbs & 375lbs. Bianca Fiondella P-PR’d on her clean (180), Bill Roy split jerked 215 for a new PR, and Erin Brown picked up 285 to PR on her deadlift. Other clean & jerk PR’s this month include Bill Roy (205), Mark Decapua (205), and Jenn J. (115). Kyle Winters set a PR on his overhead squat (225) and so did Ian Douglas at 125lbs and Mark Testa PR’d on his snatch (145).
Double Unders, Anniversaries, & Everything In Between
500m Row PR’s were both set by Bradley Roth (1:28) and Rich Sudock (1:36). Rich Sudock also PR’d in “Nancy” (14:09) and Amanda Magleby had a PR in “Filthy Fifty” by over 5 minutes (21:41)! It was both Joe N and Jay Caron’s 1 year anniversary at SCF this month, Erin Brown, Mary Pont, and Ashley Martone have been with us for 2 years, Amy Robinson’s 3 year anniversary, and the Wirtz’s have been with us for an OG four years. Double under accomplishments this month included Michelle J doing 200 in a WOD, Gayle Wirtz doing 56, and Chris M. did 50 unbroken. Melissa Roy ran her first marathon this month! Mary Pont did 13×4 unbroken chest to bar pull ups, LP fixed her handstand push ups (thanks Coach Chu!), Jeanette climbed her way to the top of the rope for the first time, and Alex got his first muscle up. My all-time favorite accomplishment is Matt Lipp’s ability to fit 42 pieces of quench gum in his mouth.
