On Sunday, December 11th from 10:45-11:45, Kai will be co-hosting a charity fundraiser for The Strong Family. The class will be part "REZIST TRAINING" (high intensity body weight movements with light Dumbbells and Kettlebells) and a YOGA COOL DOWN. The suggested donation is $25 cash and OPEN TO ANYONE! This is a great way to test your GPP- general physical preparedness and mobility!

This quote was written on the whiteboard in main room last week for all of our athletes to consider.

We compare. We compare ourselves to “famous” CrossFitters.  We compare ourselves to others in our region.  We compare ourselves to our peers working out beside us in class.  To be quite honest, I am not sure that it is 100% possible to totally ignore others, not comparing ourselves at all; however, I agree that if we become obsessed with others’ progress in comparison to our own, this can certainly hinder our happiness.

After-all, whomever we may be comparing ourselves to is a different person with an entirely different set of circumstances.

On your worst day at the gym, how about considering this instead?

    Went to a box I have been to previously while out of town this week. Always a bit nervous not being home, but it’s thrusters and running I can do this! Start off first round with only one of the ” young” guys out to run before me which makes me work harder. Needless to say even running in the Fla heat I finish first. The people at Crossfit Muscle Farm are as welcoming as ever, and I’m very proud that SCF helped me to look and feel more accomplished!
